Why I’m Looking Forward to Joining the Kiwanis Club of Pleasant Grove

As a long-time resident and business professional here in Dallas, I’ve always believed that the true measure of a thriving community lies in how we support one another—especially our youth. That is why I am incredibly excited to share that I am joining the Kiwanis Club of Pleasant Grove.

Kiwanis International has a legendary reputation for its commitment to “serving the children of the world,” and the Pleasant Grove chapter has a rich history of doing exactly that right here in our own backyard. As I take this next step in my personal and professional journey, here is why I am so eager to dive in and get to work.

I was an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Beverly, MA.  Since then, I have been a member of Rotary and Lions Clubs.

1. A Shared Mission of Service and Leadership

My professional life has always been guided by a passion for strategic growth, wellness, and leadership development. Joining Kiwanis allows me to align those core values with a dedicated, hands-on service organization. The club’s focus on fostering leadership skills in young people through programs like Key Club and Builders Club deeply resonates with me. Investing in the next generation isn’t just a good deed—it is the single best strategy for building a resilient, vibrant future for Dallas.

2. Deepening Roots in the Dallas Community

While I am actively involved in the local business landscape and love connecting professionals, there is something uniquely fulfilling about civic service. The Kiwanis Club of Pleasant Grove has spent decades building a legacy of impactful community projects, scholarships, and local outreach. Becoming a part of this organization means moving beyond networking and stepping directly into community building. It’s an opportunity to collaborate with like-minded, service-oriented leaders who are genuinely invested in making a tangible difference.

3. Turning Passion into Collective Action

If there is one thing my years in executive strategy and consulting have taught me, it’s that collective action achieves what individual effort cannot. The sheer energy of a group of people rallying around a singular cause—improving the lives of children and families—is incredibly powerful. I am looking forward to bringing my background in strategic planning, mentorship, and wellness to the table, helping to amplify the amazing initiatives the Pleasant Grove club already has underway.

The Road Ahead

There is an undeniable momentum in Dallas right now, and the Pleasant Grove area is full of potential, talent, and heart. I am deeply honored to join a group that recognizes that potential and works every day to nurture it.

To my fellow Kiwanians: I can’t wait to roll up my sleeves and work alongside you. And to my friends and colleagues across the Dallas area: I look forward to sharing our upcoming projects and finding new ways for us to collaborate for the greater good.

Here’s to the next chapter of service, community, and making a lasting impact—one child and one community at a time.

Want to get involved? If you are looking for a way to give back to the East Dallas community, mentor local youth, or connect with passionate local leaders, I highly encourage you to check out a Kiwanis meeting. Let’s build something great together!
