As a long-time resident and business professional here in Dallas, I’ve always believed that the true measure of a thriving community lies in how we support one another—especially our youth. That is why I am incredibly excited to share that I am joining the Kiwanis Club of Pleasant Grove.
There is something incredibly powerful about a space that completely redefines what it means to serve a community. For a while now, I’ve been watching the incredible work happening over at the Owenwood Farm and Neighbor Space in East Dallas, and I am absolutely thrilled to share that I’m officially jumping in to volunteer.
We’ve all driven through downtown Dallas, looked out the window, and felt that familiar tug at our chest. Homelessness and poverty aren’t abstract statistics here—they are visible, human realities on our streets. For a long time, I’ve wanted to do more than just feel bad about it. I wanted to find an organization that doesn’t just offer a temporary band-aid, but actually helps people rebuild their lives from the ground up.
